QVS International is a 47-year old retained executive search and management consulting firm. As generalists, we recruit in most functions and industries. Our specialty is serving the U.S. operations of foreign-based companies, although we also have several American companies as clients. Of course, our client companies pay all of our fees and expenses, candidate interview expenses, and any necessary candidate relocation costs.
One of our long-time Japanese clients has recently asked us to undertake a highly confidential search to fill the Director of Business development. This position will be based in Sunnyvale, CA and will report to the vice President in Marietta, GA. The new Director of Business Development will be responsible for building a profitable Western U.S. business base for a division that has is just being established to become a viable profit center.
Primary emphasis will be high-precision optics, although this individual will also have responsibility for developing markets for the company’s other products.
This client is a very successful Tier 1 and Tier 2 supplier of high volume, high precision custom plastic injection molded products. Its primary markets are in the automotive and office automation fields. It also has substantial business in various consumer markets.
The company is very profitable and has never had a significant downsizing in its 25-plus year history of operations in the U.S.
