Company description:
Founded in 1993 by Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President of Engineering Robert Vogue, Lincomps was formed with the mission to distribute audio and video equipment and electrical appliances to areas in suburban Ottawa and Winnipeg that were not served by specialised items of such a kind. In 1999, entrepreneur David Merlinher recognized that Lincomps had the right mix of talented personnel and technical expertise to succeed, so he invested in the company and began expanding its service area and offerings. In 2000, he invested $28 million to fund the necessary equipment and human capital required for such an undertaking. By 2001, through the acquisition of a great number of companies, Interlique was distributing its goods and services in other countries such as Italy, Germany, France, Russia, Poland, Sweden and Norway and of course USA.
The year 2002 brought a new opportunity for Lincomps - the ability to offer medical services to businesses. Lincomps became certified as a competitive local exchange carrier all over the world, allowing it to compete head-to-head with some companies of such a kind to provide services and goods such as computers, cell phones, audio and video equipment and medical equipment.
In early 2003, Interlique acquired a switching facility in Istanark Istanbul in Turkey, giving the company immediate access to the Northern Asia and Southern Turkey markets, where it plans to distribute services and goods later in the year. With additional products currently in research and development, 2003 is shaping up to be a very promising year.
Over the past seven years, Lincomps has added new residential services, developed products for the commercial market and expanded into new regions. From its humble beginnings in the founder's basement, Lincomps has grown to become one of the leading and most respected companies in the world.
