Company description:
The primary purpose and driving force of Teverden, Inc. is to capture the trend of growing environmental concerns that are fueling the growing recycling industries.
Studies showed that U.S. is the world’s largest Scrap Material exporter. The goal of Teverden, Inc. is to actively participate in the booming Recycling Industry to capture the opportunities and profits by trading recycled materials. The ultimate goal is to collect recyclable materials directly from sources, process to raw material or parts status, and then send them to worldwide final recovery or use.
As the global resource diminishing and the global warming accelerating, more and more attentions are driven towards environmental protection. When it comes to environmental protection, Recycling is at the center of the stage. Increasing numbers of government agencies and organizations are implementing new regulations to encourage and mandate recycling activities. This trend is luring increasing people, capital, and resources into recycling-related business, such as
1. Setting up recycling centers and recycling yards to collect recyclables
2. Innovating new technologies for re-use of recycled materials
3. Improvement and development of new equipments
4. Global movement of recycled materials for re-use and recovery
At the meantime, the raw material prices have increased dramatically in the past few years. Such raw materials includes: Ferrous Metal, Non-Ferrous Metal, Precious Metal, Plastic Resin, Petroleum, Paper ( Pulp), Rubber, etc.
However, due to the fact that recycling industry is supplier controlled markets and Teverden already has confirmed buyers standing by, Teverden, Inc. will focus its effort on developing the nationwide sourcing and supply channel for following products:
1. Electronic Devices
a. Computers and PCs
b. Networking Equipments
c. Telecommunication Equipments
d. Printers
e. Fax Machines
f. Cell phones/PDAs
g. Printed Circuit Boards
h. Miscellaneous Electronic Devices
2. Batteries
a. Lead-Acid Batteries
b. Rechargeable Batteries
3. Non-Ferrous and Precious Metal Recovery
a. Copper / Copper Wires
b. Gold ( from Printed Circuit Boards and ICs)
c. Silver
d. Platinum
e. Titanium
f. Nickel
g. Aluminum
4. Automobile Scrap
a. Radiators
b. Engine Blocks
c. Transmission
The entry strategy for Teverden is to purchase material from the already established recycling companies and recycling centers in the greater Los Angeles area. Tevernden will start from purchasing electronic devices, given the fact that State of California has implemented the Electronic Recycling Act of 2003 to promote the electronic device recycling.
In reality, many electronic device recyclers also collect other scrap material that Tevernden intend to trade. Once Teverden started purchasing electronic devices from such recyclers, Tevernden will have the chance to expand its purchasing items to other materials. Gradually, Teverden will secure more materials from same recyclers.
Teverden will also source material directly from manufactures for excess inventories and post production scrap, and government agencies and militaries for surplus and scrap material.
In addition, Tevernden will expand its sourcing network to nationwide in one year by :
1. Hire Purchasing agents in major markets
2. Establish branch offices
3. Attend tradeshows
Finally, Teverden intend to establish its own collection and recycling centers in 5 years to further secure the supplies scrap material.
