Advanced Cabinet Systems was founded in 1983 by now President, Greg Bowers. Greg began his entrepreneurial career in the construction industry. He founded his construction company, JGBowers, Inc., in 1981 and had such a high demand for casework, and little money to buy it out, he began building his own in his garage after hours. As JGBowers, Inc. began to grow and make a name for itself so did Greg’s garage cabinet business. The construction company was generating such a high demand for casework it was becoming tough for Greg to keep up with the workload. With his entrepreneurial nature, he saw an opportunity. Instead of buying out the cabinets, Greg decided to hire more individuals to help him build his own cabinets. After several years of working after hours in his garage, Greg founded Advanced Cabinet Systems. Now, with 2 fast growing businesses under his belt, Greg was off and running. The construction company was flourishing and along with that, so was Advanced Cabinet Systems. The two companies shared the same 4 locations for over 20 years however in January 2007 Advanced Cabinet Systems broke away from the construction company and relocated to its current location, at 1001 East 38th Street in Marion, Indiana.
