An environmental and civil engineering design and consulting services firm recently ranked within the top 100 environmental firms by Engineering News Record, is seeking a Senior-level Civil infrastructure Design Project Manager for our growing Los Angeles, CA, office. The main objective of this position is to provide environmental and civil engineering consulting services to the firm’s public and private sector clients. We are seeking a self-starter who is comfortable working in a team environment managing projects from Proposal to construction completion who has good interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities/Challenges:
1. Manage and coordinate project technical work on a wide range of projects including design and construction support of water and wastewater treatment facilities and utilities infrastructure.
2. Conduct project engineering work, such as studies, conceptual and preliminary design, and post-design services.
3. Conduct data analysis, report writing, and presentations to clients and agencies.
4. Client management and business development responsibilities will be required, as well as participation in the development and pricing of technical proposals.
5. Mentoring and training of junior technical staff is required.

1. Bachelor of Science in Environmental or Civil Engineering/MS Civil Engineering desired and a Registered Professional Engineer.
2. 10 to 15 years of experience as a Consulting Engineer in the detailed design and project management of large civil infrastructure projects. These projects would include civil site development, grading, storm drainage, water transmission pipelines, sanitary sewer collection systems, pump stations, as well as a solid understanding of water and wastewater treatment processes and plants.
3. Knowledge of the water and wastewater industry.
4. Previous project management, engineering, and consulting experience.
5. Facility engineering experience with an emphasis on wastewater or wastewater treatment related facilities.
6. Ability to lead a multi-discipline design team in the production of plans and specifications.
7. Understanding of the use of AutoCAD and/or Microstation in producing design is required.
