Sr. Interior Designer

We are actively searching for a Senior Interior Designer with Healthcare Design experience.

Immediate interviewing, selection, and placement.

Responsibilities:
The Senior Interior Designer will be responsible for design, planning, coordinating, and administering a major project or projects through all phases of development.

Oversees design development, production of construction documents and furniture specifications on given projects, and where applicable, give direction to assigned staff.

Resolves interior architectural problems.

Will establish and maintain budgets, schedules, and monitor adherence of terms of contract expectations.

Has primary responsibility for client contact and authority to direct, control, and monitor all project activities.

Documentation
• Correspond effectively with agencies, consultants and clients, and write meeting minutes.
• Write and edit specifications.
• Write RFP’S and negotiate contracts and fees with clients and consultants.

Business Development
• Write and develop project marketing interview materials. Participate in project marketing interview.
• Correspond effectively with agencies, consultants, and clients.

Design
• Ensure the development of design, finish selection and furniture selection support the firm’s design goals.
• Collaborate with design team for quality of project design and documents, through all phases of projects.

Technical
• Guide and direct project team and consultants for appropriate materials and systems.
• Review cost estimates and conducts value analysis.

Education:
Architectural or Interior Design degree from an accredited university or equivalent demonstrated proficiency.

Experience / Skills:
Minimum of ten (10) years experience in production and coordination of documents in all phases of architectural practice and in management of projects desired within the Healthcare market.

Familiar with building codes and regulations related to accessibility and fire resistance of materials.

Understands construction and detailing of interior finishes and casework.

Understands and fulfills the requirements and milestones of deliverables and decisions during SD, DD and CD phases of documents.

Understands the CSI Specifications system and is able to properly edit specification sections related to interior finishes.

Knowledgeable of daylighting.

Strong ability to multi-task and prioritize.

CA Lic. Architect preferred.
