Studio Principal
 

We seek a motivated and passionate individual willing to manage the Studio to deliver Client Centered Service.

The Studio Principal reports directly to the President and works closely with the Studio Staff as both Mentor and Manager; responsible for leading a team of Designers / Architects in pursuing, and delivering well designed projects on time and on budget to existing and future clients.

• Maintain and enhance Client Relations while ensuring Studio delivery of projects on schedule and on budget.

• Team focused leadership by providing coaching, mentoring, support and resources needed to excel individually and as a team while delivering the caliber of projects that continue to create a meaningful, challenging, and fulfilling professional atmosphere for the best architects in the profession.

• Financial Accountability and Responsibility that enables us to reward our people and to invest in our competitive edge.

The Studio Principal has the primary responsibility for Studio Operations.

The Studio Principal works with others in the studio to build and maintain highly successful relationships with the most ideal clients possible for the Firm:
• builds strong networks and circles of influence
• identifies quality leads, and shows uncommon creativity and effectiveness in the pursuit of those opportunities.

As the Operations Manager, the Studio Principal brings strong organizational skills and effectively orchestrates the activities of the Studio.

The Studio Principal advocates for an effective and efficient project process, and creates a culture in which equal importance is placed on quality, expertise, design innovation and financial performance.

The Studio Principal builds effective relationships with key advisors including our leaders and teams in Marketing, Business Development, Human Resources, Finance & Accounting and Technology.

In partnership with the Design Director, the Studio Principal is a strong advocate for the Firm, making it highly relevant and important to our clients. The Studio Principal also plays a major role in attracting and developing the best talent, increasing the established reputation of the Firm as a great place to work and to build a career.

The Studio Principal collaborates with others to advance our reputation and success, advocating for the inclusion of all disciplines in order to deliver the most robust solutions possible for our clients while actively promoting our Design Methodology.

Requirements
• Candidate must be a registered Architect who has demonstrated the ability to manage 20+ studio staff delivering projects in excess of $50M, as it is defined below.
• Candidate must have substantial experience in School Projects. Also, it is desirable that the successful candidate be a LEED Accredited Professional or be able to obtain that accreditation within a reasonable timeframe upon selection.
