We are currently seeking a Senior Estimator for our well respected and successful commercial Construction firm that specializes in Military Projects in the $50 - $100 mil range, to join our energetic team in North County San Diego, CA.

With anticipation of being awarded 3 to 5 new military projects in the next six weeks, we describe this key Department Head position as vital to the overall success of the continuing growth we experience in this sector.
Job Description:
The work involves reviewing construction drawings, performing take-offs/ Estimates of Large Military projects located in the Southern California region. Assembling estimates on the computer, communicating with Subcontractors, regarding their estimates and bids, communicating with Architects, Engineers, and Clients regarding their intentions for projects, and meeting with Project Managers, Estimators, and Administrative Support working on the project to coordinate efforts. Some travel is involved via auto to visit sites and attend meetings with the other members of the project team, i.e. Architects, Engineers, Clients and Subs.
You will also be responsible for directing the resources of the estimating team and the review of all estimates before they are submitted.
The Senior Estimator will be working 100% out of the Carlsbad, CA office.

Requirements:
- Must have 8-10 Years Minimum Estimating Experience with strong background in Military Project/D.O.D.
- Must be Self-motivated.
- Must have strong communication skills.
- Must have strong Computer Skills (Knowledge of Estimating Software).
- Must be knowledgeable with all divisions of plans and specs and Project Planning.
- Must have strong leadership skills.
- Must be hardworking.
- Must be able to juggle several assignments at once.
- Must have an established network/resources/estimating database.
