Software Engineer
An Southwestern Ohio manufacturer seeks a Software Engineer, reporting directly to the Manager of Software Development, to design, develop, debug & document applications for CMM, GD&T and metrology markets.
Other duties will include:
Developing a variety of software applications using various tools including Microsoft .NET tools and MS-SQL & Firebird databases.
Providing software support to all assigned products; this may involve visits to customer sites - including those overseas.
Tracking records of successful solution based implementations using .NET technologies including C#, VB.Net, XML & SQL Server.
This position will be responsible for developing & updating software development manuals.
The qualified candidate must have the following experience:
An Associates degree with 5+ years of experience or a Bachelors degree in engineering or computer science & 2+ years of related experience.
Must have experience with CMM or metrology or GD&T applications; Renishaw probes control applications experience is a major plus.
Strong background in structured debugging & documentation techniques.
Knowledge and experience with .NET technologies including C#, VB.Net, XML, and SQL Server is a plus.
Some travel required.
Extensive communication is required at all levels.
Must be a U.S. Citizen or have a Green Card.
