New Product Development Mechanical Engineer

New Product Development Mechanical Engineer
Are you tired of the fast-paced big city lifestyle? Are you tired of breathing in car exhaust fumes from being stranded in traffic jams? Are you worried about the environment in which your children are being raised? And on top of all that are you worried about your job security? If you said yes to any of these questions, then we have the job for you.

We are The Ross-Carlisle Group Inc., a Midwestern based recruiting firm specializing in engineers and other hi-tech and manufacturing professionals. We have over 22 years of combined experience in matching great employees with great employers. Our current client is definitely one of those great employers. It is an Upper Midwestern manufacturer of commercial & industrial steel fabricated products that includes cranes. It is a division of a very large corporation, so you have the financial security of a large company but this site only has 150 people in it, giving you that small company feel. This is a well managed and stable institution and is the leader in its industry. Best of all, it is located in a small community, with minimal traffic, and it is next to a wild preserve. Most people dream of vacationing where you will be living. Think about it, along with a great job, you get clean air, the great outdoors, a short commute and clear mind! What more could you ask for?

DUTIES:
The position is an exciting one. The qualified candidate will spend around 2/3 of his/her time working on special orders from customers - no monotony here; this will involve Autocad modeling and performing stress calculations using FEA tools. The rest of the time, you will be working primarily on product development projects; however, you will be expected to devote around 10% to providing sales support. Travel should be no more than 10%.

REQUIREMENTS:
Along with the above technology experience, the qualified candidate should have a BSME along with 5+ years of experience that includes extensive Autocad Mechanical and stress calculation (e.g. FEA tools) knowledge and experience . Experience with overhead cranes and/or gantries is a major plus.

SALARY:
Pay is up to 75k per year and the company will provide relocation assistance for the right candidate.
