We have a long-term client, a manufacturer of industrial components located in Southwestern, OH, which is planning an aggressive expansion into new markets. The company is a subsidiary of a billion dollar publicly owned company, and is a leading provider of cutting edge measurement devices and solutions, such as gauges, scanners, controllers, etc., to multiple and varied industries throughout Europe, Asia and the Americas.
This client is seeking a Lead Mechanical Design Engineer who can be both a hands-on designer and be a facilitator between all involved parties (e.g., other company departments, customers, etc.). This is an exciting opportunity for that highly motivated engineer who seeks an rewarding career working with the newest technologies and creating innovative applications for customers.
Duties
This position will be primarily responsible for the development and implementation of plans to integrate the company’s various measurement system offerings with both each other and with third-party products to create new applications opening up new market opportunities. The chosen individual will facilitate this process via coordinating the various involved company departments while consulting with current customers and potential customers. The chosen applicant will be responsible for the conceptualization, development, testing and installation of precision measurement devices. He or she will supervise a team of engineers , but this is a hands-on position and the selected candidate will also be involved in the design design and development.
Requirements:
BSME or closely related degree
Several years of hands-on product design (all phases of the design, implementation and installation process)
Industrial control design and installation
Proficiency in Pro/E or AutoCad preferred
Proposal writing experience
Management experience
Compensation/Benefits:
Salary is commensurate with experience along with a competitive benefits package. Relocation is not being offered at this time. |
