Duties:
CACI has upcoming requirements for Lead Combat Systems Engineers in Port Hueneme, CA, San Diego, CA and Norfolk, VA supporting NAVSEA and Warfare Center systems upgrades, technical assists, systems equipment material inspections, installations, CSSQT, and modernizations. The Lead Combat Systems Engineer is integrated in to the core test team in executing test plans and supports test team tasks such as test procedure development, review, verifying and validating, the Lead Combat Systems Engineer maybe required to act as Project Engineer for test events. The Lead Combat Systems Engineer provides supervisory and management to other test engineers and technicians and supports the Project Officer and Project Engineers in the planning, and organization of test periods, identification of team members, their duties. Supports the preparation and presentation of briefs and debriefs, compiles observation reports and results of tests and submits to the Project Engineer/Officer. Supports identification of technical requirements to include equipment configurations, team assignments, scenarios development, safety walk-throughs, hot and cold checks.
Required Qualifications:
Must have current DoD SECRET Security Clearance to qualify.
The successful candidate must be qualified in one or more of the following: Tactical Action Officer (CSO &/Weps), Combat Systems Coordinator, Systems Test Officer, Combat Systems Maintenance Manager, Combat Systems Training Team Leader or Coordinator (Technical), Project Officer or Project Engineer.
Requires bachelor’s degree (in Computer Science, Math, Electrical Engineering or related field) and seven to nine years of related experience.
Must be skilled with computers, MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
Travel estimated at >25%.
Desired Qualifications:
Ideal candidate is a former Navy Combat Systems Department senior leader, such as Combat Systems/Weapons Officer, Fire Control Officer, Systems Test Officer, Combat Systems and ship SERT Team. Previous experience and knowledge of BMD experience is a plus.
