Programmer Analyst

Duties:
CACI has an immediate opening for a Programmer Analyst to support Navy submarine efforts in Dahlgren, VA. Perform verification and validation for the Submarine Launched Ballistic Missile (SLBM) program's Ship Submersible Ballistic Nuclear (SSBN) Fire Control System (FCS) and Ship Submersible Guided Nuclear (SSGN) Launch Control System (LCS). Review Software Formulations, Software Specifications, Requirements Documents, Design Documents, C/C++ programs and UNIX scripts to collect testable requirements. Formulate test plans, procedures, and other related test documentation. Develop C, C++, and UNIX programs to assist with testing and automation of the FCS software. Participate in and give reviews. Maintain metrics related to tasks.
Required Qualifications:
The position requires the ability to meet eligibility requirements to obtain access to sensitive or classified information (Secret Clearance).
A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or one of the following disciplines with concentration in Computer Science: Physics, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aeronautical or Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent. Candidate must meet this education requirement, NO EXCEPTIONS to this requirement are possible.
Candidate must have software development process experience. A minimum of 1-2 years (Level I), and 2-4 years (Level II) of experience in developing and/or testing complex C or C++ applications in a UNIX environment.
Due to security requirements work must be performed in Dahlgren, VA.
Required Hardware/Software:
C/C++, Unix, Korn Scripts
Desired Qualifications:
The following qualifications are a big plus:
Experience in testing or working with a real time operating system.
Testing or developing with applications developed in C or C++.
Testing, operating, or developing software programs for the SLBM FCS or LCS.
Testing or developing applications on a Motorola Power PC in a VME environment.
Preparing Software Test Plans, Software Test Descriptions, and technical reports.
Familiarity with the software engineering life cycle, Capability Maturity Model, and SLBM Fire Control engineering life cycle processes.
Desired Software/Hardware:
Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes, SLBM FCS and LCS.
