Senior CT Radiographer (UK)
 

BJUSMB/SD 0310231 -- This hospital is looking for a flexible, motivated and competent radiographer to help develop the CT service at our new unit. |They boast an enviable record of commitment to the highest quality of service, in all its various aspects. The Radiography department in this organisation has sophisticated equipment where it can perform a wide variety of Radiography examinations. The top priority of the staff in this role is to deliver the best quality and most compassionate care to its patients.
Duties
• To perform all CT & X ray examinations as approved by a Consultant Radiologist.
• To assist the Manager in development of CT & other protocols in line with Divisional and HCC standards.
• To assist Deputy Manager to ensure that an appropriate stock of consumable items is maintained at all times by managing the day to day medical inventory for CT and General X-ray.
• To ensure all records in relation to CT scanning and/or x-ray procedures are maintained. This will include but not limited to the Clinical trial Studies for CT Scanning.
• To act in a professional and caring manner towards patients, visitors and colleagues at all times upholding care standards as outlined with IRMER and SOR.
• To support the Manager and to liaise and communicate effectively with all members of the team.
• To assist in the regular review and updating of all CT & X-Ray protocols
• To demonstrate safe, effective practice in compliance with IH Divisional Policies and procedures, providing a high standard of quality imaging to all service users. To be conversant with Divisional and Unit policies and procedures
• To act as the RPS for CT and X-Ray.
• To adhere to and reinforce all local rules with regard to IR(MER)R Regulations.
• To carry out all quality control measures with regard to the equipment and to assist the manager in the setting up of Quality Control program
• To ensure that all equipment is fit for purpose and report faults, failures or breakdowns to the OEM and Unit manager
• Liaise with other disciplines to ensure smooth running of the radiographic service.
• To assist the Manager in the implementation of departmental audit, clinical, infection control and Health and Safety action plans.
• To support the Unit Manager in the responsibility of all Health and Safety and risk assessment management.

• To be responsible for the process of recording accurate statements in response to accident, incidents, near misses and complaints.
• To respect and maintain confidences in relation to all patient and staff matters in accordance with the Data Protection Act (1984).
• To attend all departmental meetings as required.
• Experience of 64 slice Ct scanning is desirable
• Experience within a private patient setting.


Requirements:
• Current HPC registration
• Hold an appropriate professional qualification DCR or BSc in Radiography.
• Demonstrable, relevant CPD.
• To have 3 Years post qualification experience
• Cross sectional Imaging Experience
• Excellent communication, interpersonal skill, Time management, and clinical training skills.
• Able to demonstrate Organizational skills
