Contract Fly-in-Fly-out position in the mining sector in a remote and safe area of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Africa.
Single status position (not favourable for wives and families to reside there) with a six day working week. Reported to the Mine Services Manager.
KEY TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Mining Engineer/Technician with a minimum of 8 years of experience in similar positions,
• Responsible to lead the backfilling works done UG and supervision of surface plant operation.
• Area of responsibilities cover from the backfilling plant at concentrator on surface downstream to the underground mining areas and any further related project.
KEY COMPETENCIES:
• Deep knowledge of physical/mechanical properties of hydraulic backfill (simple and or cemented slurry).
• Working experience with different kind of pump (clean water and slurry) and piping works (HDPE, steel and alvenius).
• Basic knowledge of civil works design and experience in building different types of backfill retention walls.
• Leadership and with good level of interpersonal communication and team working skills
• Strong commitment with safety procedures and standards.
• Computer literacy: MS Windows and AutoCAD.
REMUNERATION AND BENEFITS:
• Salary up to $110,000 pa (tax free plus benefits), depending on skills and experience
