As a Midwest-based, national construction, engineering, instrumentation, and automation group of companies, we serve manufacturing clients in building and maximizing the use of their facilities. Presently, we have a need for an Instrument Service Technician in the Kansas / Missouri area.
Primary Responsibilities will include:
1) Providing instrumentation field services including receiving, tracking, configuration, installation, documentation, checkout, and commissioning of instrumentation and valves.
2) Providing electrical construction field services including pulling and terminating wire; bending and installing electrical conduit; and installing control and distribution apparatus.
3) Planning, layout, and design for effective electrical and instrumentation installation.
4) Accurately documenting projects and actively sharing instrumentation information with Electrical, Automation, and Process Engineers, various contractors, and our clients. Documentation packages may include bench configuration reports and manuals.
5) Maintain instrument loop and wiring as-built drawings.
6) Actively supporting the entire project team, specifically Interstates Construction, Interstates Control Systems, and Interstates Engineering.
7) Respond to service calls on an as needed basis.
Great people for this position will have:
*Engineering degree or Technical Degree with 2 to 5 years of related experience; experience in configuration, calibration, installation, application, specification, maintenance, electrical construction, and/or troubleshooting industrial instrumentation is valued.
*Good communication (verbal, written, listening) and team work skills
*A desire to work with great people in a casual, fun, growing company
*Ability to work independently without supervision out of a home office
*Valid driver's license and clean driving record
