Expertise Limited, Bermuda's leading recruiter, is currently seeking a Chief Accounting Officer who is interested in relocating to sunny/income-tax friendly BERMUDA.
We have been retained by a rapidly expanding private equity firm with operations in Europe, the US, and Bermuda to assist them in sourcing a Chief Accounting Officer. The selected applicant with be a pivotal contributor to the management of the company's global finance department.
Reporting to the CFO, the CAO will ensure the efficient operation of the fund and portfolio companies finance function, in addition to the oversight and direction of group financial accounting and audit for divisions of the company. Also included in key activities is responsibility for overall financial accounting and compliance of the Funds and their respective subsidiaries; and the establishment, improvement, and maintenance of financial controls and procedures for the Funds and ensuring the integrity of financial reporting. The goal of the CAO will be to ensure the smooth running of company affairs and to ensure that the company’s external and internal reporting requirements are completed within the prescribed timeframes.
Minimum qualifications:
• Professional accounting designation (i.e. CA, ACA, CAP, CMA) combined with 7+ years relevant experience and strong working knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS
• Strong accounting skills and management experience within private equity, investments, and/or life sciences fields
• Experience with compliance standards with relevant regulatory authorities, legal requirements, monitoring cash flows
• Must be well versed on current and emerging accounting guidance and strong knowledge of AICPA audit guide for investment companies
• Able to demonstrate ability and identify and resolve technical and/or operational issues relating to company structures
• MS Office and complex spreadsheet design and formatting proficiency
• Great Plains experience is an asset |
