Audio Visual Light Technician

We are currently hiring experienced Light Technicians to join our talented shipboard staff! The Light Technicians are responsible for setting up and controlling all lighting and sound mixing board equipment for stage productions and related shows and activities, thereby ensuring that our guests have a truly memorable vacation!

Responsibilities will include:
• Setting up spot, flood, incandescent, mercury vapor lights, reflectors and other equipment
• Maintaining the quality of all sound and light equipment, as well as maintaining equipment inventory
• Establishing weekly maintenance schedules
• Modifying the design of sound equipment used and making minor repairs such as broken cables on equipment
• Positioning lighting fixtures on and around stage area, clamping light fixtures to supports, and all related duties
• Coordinating the sound and lighting for production, shows and special events
• Studying script and determining sound and/or lighting effects required.
• Conferring with Stage and Production Manager concerning microphone placement, special sound effects, cues and acoustical characteristics of theater
• Performing all job-related duties as assigned by the supervisor or management

JOB REQUIREMENTS
• 2 to 4 years of professional theater and studio lighting and sound experience
• Capability to mix and monitor live orchestras to professional levels
• Working knowledge of lighting and audio console operation
• Ability to bench and maintain a lighting rig and audio equipment to professional levels
• Completion high school of basic education equivalency preferred
• Ability to speak read and write English clearly, distinctly and cordially with guests.
This position is located onboard one of our vessels.

All International applicants must have the ability to obtain a C1D Visa

Shipboard employees must be able to physically lift and/or move up to 50 pounds without aid

Foreign language skills are preferred, but not required
