We are currently hiring experienced Sound Technicians to join our talented shipboard staff! The Sound Technicians are responsible for operating, maintaining and managing all audio, lighting and show control systems on board. In addition, the Sound Technicians work with the Chief Electrical Engineer and Stage and Production Manager ensuring that our guests have a truly memorable vacation!
Responsibilities will include:
• Maintaining the technical quality of all shows
• Attending weekly meetings with the Chief Electrical Engineer and Stage & Production Manager
• Coordinating the sound and lighting for production, shows and special events
• Performing scheduled safety and inventory checks
• Scheduling all Sound Technicians and submitting weekly sound & light technical reports
• Conducting ongoing operational repair and maintenance of all aspects of audio, lighting and show control system
• Performing all job-related duties as assigned by the supervisor or management
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• 6 years of experience in professional theater
• Working knowledge of major theatrical rigging systems, PLC and PC systems
• Education and/or comparable work experience in technical theater audio engineering and/or lighting design
• Proven comprehension of automated audio, lighting and show control systems, such as,
A. Euphonic
B. SSL
C. Yamaha, Etc.
D. Whole Dog
E. Dataon, and
F. Richmond NT/Amiga System
• Computer literate on Windows NT, Word, Excel and Lotus Notes
• Ability to speak read and write English clearly, distinctly and cordially with guests.
This position is located onboard one of our vessels.
All International applicants must have the ability to obtain a C1D Visa
Shipboard employees must be able to physically lift and/or move up to 50 pounds without aid
Foreign language skills are preferred, but not required
