Job Description :
Job function is to plan, develop and execute test cases to exercise Wireless Base Station hardware subsystems. Assignments will cover a wide range of responsibilities including but not limited to: test case development, lab set up, test script development, debugging, test automation activities, test process activities, test execution, data analysis and report preparation.
Key Responsibilities / Functions:
• Review Wireless Base Station system requirements, Architecture and design documents and offer feedback.
• Scope out the overall test strategy given a new or modified system configuration
• Participate/lead quality initiative teams (QIT) to implement process changes.
• Communicate daily with Project/Program Managers and team members regarding upcoming milestones and major timeline commitments with respect to test status.
Required Qualifications: (Education, Technical Skills/Knowledge)
• The candidate should have a minimum of BSEE or equivalent.
• Educational background in RF and or communications is a must for this position.
• Although SW development is not part of this job, familiarity with programming languages such as C++ and use of many difference computer interfaces and computer based tools will be essential set of skills for this position.
• Ability to understand the high level architecture of the system as well as a more detailed understanding of subsystem building blocks is an important attribute that the candidate will be evaluated for.
Desired Qualifications: (Education, Technical Skills/Knowledge)
• The candidate should preferably also have an MSEE.
• 5+ years of experience working with Base Station hardware and system SW is highly desired.
• Hands-on RF expertise is also a highly desired skill-set for this position.
• Candidates who have operated RF test equipment in the past 2 years will be given strong preference.
Other desired skills:
LabView program Knowledge of operation of specialized 4G Wireless test equipment Work experience directed related to 3G and 4G technologies RF design background Test Automation and test script development experience.
