We are seeking an assistant to the project manager for a major restructuring program within the State of NJ. In this role you will be providing support to the PM by documenting meetings, reviewing plans, preparing reports, monitoring schedules, inspecting and auditing equipment installations and become heavily involved in a combination of engineering and environmental work.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
§ Assist PM in day-to-day oversight of a third party contractor’s progress toward the implementation of Program.
§ Document meetings, track issues and track action items.
§ Assist PM with the reviewing and commenting of project plans submitted by third party contractors.
§ Visit and inspect facilities to document completion of the facility’s retrofit and equipment installation.
§ Prepare reports, meetings and presentations as requested by the PM.
§ Provide engineering/technical expertise to PM and other Managers.
§ Perform other duties as required.
REQUIREMENTS:
§ College Degree (Engineering discipline preferred).
§ Project Management experience, certification a plus.
§ Minimum of three (3) years of applicable work experience preferably in a project environment.
§ Applicant must possess impeccable organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
§ Scheduling/schedule management experience. Experience with MS Project a plus.
§ Proficient in MS Office.
§ Work effectively with minimal supervision.
§ Strong verbal and written communication skills.
