Title: Accountant
Scope: Report to Head of Group Finance Department, Responsible for the regional accounting affairs
Group reporting
Supports Head of Group Finance Department in executing accounting procedures and related internal controls, budget and cost controls and financial analysis for the regional operation.
Submits group reporting package to Group Finance Department, including routine and ad hoc reports.
Local
Accounting:
Manages full set of accounting books and related accounting affairs.
Prepares reports and statistical data detailing financial results that meets the requirements from Group Finance and local management.
Maintains accounting practices to ensure data necessary for business operations is accurate and reliable.
Handles accounts payable and expenses reimbursements.
Manages audit process and prepare filing documents (accounting and tax) that comply with local statutory requirements. On-time filing of statutory documents. Report regularly to Group Finance Department on the progress.
Handles monthly tax filing and related administrations. Work with Group Finance (and local consultant if necessary) in annual transfer pricing filing.
Collection from customers:
Perform credit control procedures on new accounts and annual review on established accounts. Maintains relevant documentation.
Responsible for collection of receivables from customers. Contacts customers by telephone and/or letter if necessary.
Reviews customers’ credit limits and accounts, sends monthly statements, issues escalation or final notice letters, and refers unpaid accounts for debt collection or legal action.
Management accounting:
Under the direction of Group Finance, performs statistical, cost and financial analysis of financial reports and data, and prepares subsequent narrative analysis for management.
Interprets financial transactions and events for management and Group Finance.
Prepare annual budget, rolling forecast. Recommends budget adjustments and other cost improvement measures. |
