Job Description :-
Expert level lead individual contributor engineer with strong technical skills, managing large high value Network transport elements (DS3, OCn) and projects.
Works with minimal direction on complex interconnect design, transport equipment capacity management, assignment, and circuit provisioning or facilities administration activities.
Must be able to multi-task several high priority requirements and meet timeline commitments.
The network’s elements will consist of Fiber hubs, OC ring nodes, Digital Cross connects, multiplexers, and transmission equipment including Internodal links and Customer Nodal links for state of the art communications equipment.
This network will primarily serve the requirements associated with interoffice trunking network, PSTN connections, MSC-BSC connections, and Cell-site T1 connectivity from a pipe perspective.
Develops network plans and may serve as project leader.
Knowledge of Digital Cross-Connect Systems technology.
Need knowledge of TDM network and evolving wireless technologies.
Experience or knowledge of the following systems: TIRKS, PWS, Granite, ALRT, IDIS, EHB, Galaxy, WFA, Cramer, CLLI Request, AMOS, SAVi, SONET Grid, RBCM, Pathfinder, C1PREP-TTS Table, ENG login portal, APEX Document. Business Objects and PWS reports writing- a plus.
Preferred Qualifications :-
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
6+ years experience in telecommunication industry.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Comfortable making presentations to management teams.
The Microsoft suite of applications; including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access.
Capable of making sound engineering decisions and presenting quality arguments to support those decisions.
Moderate travel.
