Manufacturing Engineer, Rutherford County, NC
Provide productivity and quality improvement to the operation through the engineering, design, procurement, and installation, of integrated systems of people, equipment, tooling, material, and information.
Recommends and implements changes in design, tooling and equipment to improve the assembly processes and improve cost effectiveness.
Responsible for plant layouts and the coordination of equipment and process rearrangements.
Analyzes tool and equipment breakdowns and assists in the timely resolution of the problem.
Consults with Product Design Engineers to maximize process capability and product integrity.
Provides accurate and timely information on Product Change Cost Requests.
Serves as Project Coordinator in the identification and clarification of production, material handling, or safety/ergonomic challenges, writes appropriation requests as necessary, and designs, specifies, purchases, and installs machinery and equipment to achieve desired results.
Experience in the development of labor standards, justification and purchase of capital equipment, and tool design.
Trains and supports manufacturing and maintenance in the operation of tools, equipment, and processes.
Identify and record any product, process and quality system problems.
Verify the implementation of solutions.
5 years engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
Bachelor’s Degree in BSIE, BSIT, or BSME
Proficient in CAD, word processing, and Microsoft Applications.
