Senior PL/SQL Developer
 

Map data from the client’s existing legacy databases (Oracle, Foxpro, and DB2) to the client’s new Oracle database structure. Develop the appropriate PL/SQL to migrate a variety of databases, tables, relationships, and data types to the new system data structures. Address a variety of database integration issues including migration between disparate databases, integration, maintenance/conversion. Work with application development teams to ensure that database changes adhere to best practices & are properly prioritized / scheduled.

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Math or equivalent experience preferred.

5+ years of PL/SQL. Experience with Unix shell scripting. Experience with data transfer tools, protocols (ftp, scp, etc). Experience with Oracle 10g. Experience with extraction and validation of data. Experience with conversion of data, mapping field values, filtering unwanted data, error handling and tracking. Problem analysis and problem resolution skills at both a strategic and functional level.
