My client, a dynamic and well respected company with career growth potential, offers investment products and services. They are looking for an Accounting Analyst/Senior Accountant to lead a team responsible for security investment operations and accounting activities.
Duties of the position in relationship to the investment portfolio:
• Work with and develop team members in processing, accounting and reconciling cash payments
• Assign, supervise and coordinate and team activities
• Record, reconcile and ensure accuracy in security transaction record keeping
• Improve processes and controls in information flow, financial systems and reporting
• Develop procedural solutions in accounting and financial systems for supporting the securities operations of the investment portfolio
Qualifications:
• Bachelors Degree in Accounting/Finance or related area
• Investment experience preferred
• Advanced degree and/or related designation - CPA/CPA candidate preferred
• Background in portfolio accounting and dataflow software - PAM, GEAC or Aladdin preferred
• Minimum of four years accounting background
• Minimum of two years supervisory/team lead experience
• Process improvement design and implementation expertise
• Excellent judgment, analytical , problem solving and research skills
• Proficient computer skills including strong computer and Microsoft Office/Excel skills
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task while demonstrating attention to detail
