| Research Innovation Leader – Smart Materials and Devices
Responsible for leading R&D for a team of 60 scientists and engineers within the Smart Materials and Devices group. My role sees me managing the entire
R&D process from technical review of initial concepts, development of
investment cases and protection of IP through to product development and worldwide sales.
I also provide expert technical advice into various military projects where signature management techniques are required. This includes signature reduction (stealth) and signature increase for covert signalling purposes (e.g. combat identification).
My innovative approach to problem solving sees me as an integral part of the majority of innovation workshops both from within QinetiQ and from the wider scientific community.
