staff RN in Step-Down CCU Midstate Medical Center in 435 Lewis Ave, Meriden, CT March 2007 to February 2008 My duties included working in a very busy step-down unit. I was required to provide nursing care to patients with varying diagnoses and conditions, such as iv skills, proper phelbotomy technique, hanging blood transfusions,mixing and titrating cardio-vascular drugs, anti-arrhythmics, monitoring ekg's, teaching telemetry to floor secretary's and new RN's. My physical assessment skills are excellent as well. I worked with MD's to assure goal-oriented patient outcomes. I worked with pharmacists, discharge planners and nutritionists to provide plans of care to meet patient's special needs at time of discharge
