I have worked within the law enforcement field, legal field, and administrative field for the past 18 years. Since 2001, I have been employed by the Cass County Sheriffs Office as a Deputy. I was employed for 18 years as a Paraprofessional, Administrative Assistant, and Art Instructor in the Public School system. I was able to finish up my paralegal degree (excelling in investigation, civil litigation and criminal law). I worked as a Paralegal with The Allen Shepard Law firm on a temporary basis. I worked with High Risk Teens. Their ages ranging from 15 to 21. This made it necessary to keep in contact with parole officers, psychiatrist, foster parents, and parents. I did Job shadowing on a daily basis. I assisted in teaching economics and government classes by modifying curriculum and tests for these students.Their disabilities ranged from drug abuse to anorexia. My administrative duties were with the Summer School Program. I assisted in setting up, carrying out, and completing the elementary, junior high, High school, and adult education program for the summer schedule.
