I work excellent with the elderly due to having quite a bit of patience. I have been don for 2 different nursing homes, same corporation. On the other hand I have 4 children and was awesome with kids. I was "mom" to everyone and they knew who to come to if they had a problem. I love starting iv's. I know how to use pumps for feeding and pain meds. I took an ekg, heart monitoring, and iv class. I am a people person, good listener. I have a system with my workday so I can be very organized. I also can multi task. I am interested in working in a hospital to use my skills as a nurse, but I still love the elderly. I have excellent quick learning skills. If I don't know something I either look it up or I am not shy about asking for help. I talk easily with doctors, talking orders and following through. My charting skills are acceptable . I am a team worker. My best attribute is my great ability to deal with people, listen when they need a listener, and have them talk things through. I love people, and I take pride in my work.
