I set my sights on being able to utilize my talent and skills in Journalism, Marketing Communications and Public Relations to further strengthen my worth in the industry, which will hopefully be part of an integral function that will help meet the objectives of the Company I would be working for. I have over a decade of experience in my line of work. At present, I am part of the Marketing arm of one of the leading freight forwarding companies in Dubai. I single-handedly manage the Corporate Communications division of the department, both external and internal, and develop editorial and relevant articles to support and substantiate Company initiatives. As Corporate Communications Officer, I am in charge of answering media queries about the Company, including developing press releases. I also oversee the aptness of the content used for marketing materials, such as brochures, fliers, banners; plus radio, TV, and print ads. I also write speeches and develop corresponding PowerPoint presentations for the CEO, and other members of the management, including Region Heads outside Dubai. I manage the company websites and went through training courses on Dreamweaver and Photoshop in order to maximize my function. I have a Degree in Journalism, and have covered various topics spanning the entire scope of a newspaper – from hard news, to business, to supplements, to entertainment, travel and leisure and press releases.
