As you can see in the enclosed Résumé, I have a strong academic background in Chemical Engineering and Chemistry and the potential to conduct scientific-related research. I had the opportunity to focus on process development in two different fields in heterogeneous catalysis (ion exchange catalysts for organic synthesis and hydrogenation of acrolein over silver catalysts) as a research assistant at a German University. For my Master’s degree, I performed research in area of fuel cells, electrochemistry and analytical chemistry. I was able to file two patent applications as an inventor with my advisor, publish a few research papers and present at scientific meetings. I enjoy planning and finding practical solutions that help reduce time during my research. During my research work at Aachen University, Germany, I had the opportunity to work on a joint project with the company Rohm and Haas. My research project at Saint Louis University was sponsored by the Central Intelligence Agency. These experiences helped me to further develop and strengthen my technical skills, work both independently and interdependently with other researchers and learn the importance of working hard as a member of a team to achieve success. At the same time, I had the chance to better understand the business point of view of research. I graduated from Saint Louis University in St. Louis, MO with the degree of Master of Science in July 2007.
